One intriguing conversation I had with an elderly individual occurred during a journey to Xi’an, the capital city of Shaanxi Province.

He was an elderly man, but I refrained from asking about his exact age out of respect. Our paths crossed on the train from my hometown to Xi’an, where I had opted for a bed seat due to the approximately 20-hour journey. It turned out that he was assigned the sleeping berth next to mine.
