I’d like to talk about a skill I acquired as a teenager – the art of crafting book jackets.

If my memory serves me well, I picked up this skill in my second year of secondary school under the guidance of our arts and crafts teacher. She provided a hands-on learning experience, asking us to come prepared with used newspapers and essential tools such as scissors, a ruler, and glue.
如果我记得没错，我是在初中二年级时在美术与手工课老师的指导下学到的。她通过亲身示范来教导我们。在课前，她让我们准备一些旧报纸和工具，如剪刀、尺子和胶水。
Initially, I found the process challenging as there were intricate steps involved, such as measuring the book edges and cutting the newspaper accurately. It was a steep learning curve, but through observing both my peers and the teacher, I eventually grasped the technique.
