A technological item that I think is hard to use is actually a blood glucose meter.
一件我觉得很难用的科技产品是一台血糖仪。
I got it from my parents when I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes, which is a milder form of diabetes than type 1, while I was in the first year of college. To help me better monitor my blood sugar without much pain, my parents bought an item called Tangwuji, which claims that users do not need to prick their fingers by using it.
当我读大一的时候被检测出了2型糖尿病，相比1型会稍微好点，那个时候我从父母那里拿到了这台血糖仪。为了避免有太多的疼痛，我父母给我买了名叫tangwuji的血糖仪，它声称可以不用扎手指就可以检测。
You know, finger-prick blood samples are a headache to me as I’m quite sensitive to pains, not to mention doing so on a regular basis, which is really a nightmare for me. This article is from Laokaoya website. I normally use it on Wednesday and Saturday as those days allow me to have much more free time in school and at home. All I need to do is put the detector on my ears and the data will show on the mobile phone-like device.
