Something special I waited for that would happen was a vaccination against the covid.
You know, there’s a pandemic prevention and control work in China, which I think is the strictest one in this world. To get back from another city to visit my grandpa in the hospital in my hometown, I was required to get vaccinated. Otherwise, there was no possibility to visit him in the ICU even if I finish my fourteen days quarantine at home.
As there was an escalating demand for the vaccine in our hometown, I had to book an appointment with the hospital and wait for their call at home before lining there to get injected. This article is from Laokaoya website. I knew it would take at least three days for them to arrange everything and that I had no other alternatives. So, I was quite patient and knew they would pull me through.
Well, I think the most important reason why the waiting was quite special was that it was probably the first time in my life to wait for vaccination to be allowed to visit my family. I guess that was also a once-in-a-century thing to happen.
Honestly, I felt a bit nervous while waiting for this shot because I’ve seen some news on the Internet that vaccine recipients might have severe adverse effects. But, as I said, I had no choice but to do it and I actually ended up having no such things.
