The café I am going to tell you about is in a small alley opposite my school. It is converted from a traditional Chinese house, you know, the house with a courtyard, corridors, and various flowers and plants. In fact, everyone who comes to the place for the first time would wonder if they have made a mistake and accidentally got into a restaurant or teahouse, as the surroundings form a stark contrast with what it sells, a drink of western style.

I like this place because of its lively atmosphere. Unlike most cafes where people silently read magazines or operate their laptops, or conduct conversations at the lowest volume as they can, this café is quite noisy. People speak out their opinions loudly and you can hear laughs burst out every now and then, which is of course not polite, but appeals to students of my age.
