I’d like to share with you an experience I had while I was taking a course about technology at school.
我想要和你分享一次我在参加一门科技课程的体验。
We were introduced by our teacher about the notion of virtual reality and thus guided by him to make a pair of VR goggles that could allow us to play VR games.
我们老师当时给我们介绍了虚拟现实的概念，然后指导我们制作了一副VR眼镜，这副眼镜可以让我们玩VR游戏。
Initially, I thought this might be a crazy idea as we didn’t any type of technology or advanced materials such as glasses beforehand to make up one. However, this article is from Laokaoya website, things weren’t that complicated. All we needed was just a set of cardboard. To make the process easier, we ordered a set of semi-finished products with an easy-to-understand manual. It took us just an hour to get the hang of it and another hour to set up the entire thing.
起初，我觉得这有点不可思议。因为，我们事先没有任何技术或者例如镜片等先进点儿的材料来制作眼镜。不过，情况并不复杂。我们需要的只是一套硬纸板即可。为了让制作过程相对简单，我们定了一套半成品再配上便于理解的指导手册。我们大概花费了一个小时来掌握这个制作方法，然后又花了一个小时组装好了这个设备。
It really resembled the electronic VR goggles that we saw on TV commercials except that ours was just a cupboard box with a rubber band. It was easy to use. All we needed to do was insert our smartphone that was preinstalled a VR app into the front slot of the box. Then, we could enjoy the VR images simply by putting them on our heads.
它看起来真的和电视广告上的VR眼镜很类似，只不过我们的只是纸盒子和橡胶带做的而已。这个装置用起来很方便。我们需要做的就是把预装有VR应用的智能手机放入盒子前端的卡槽内。然后，我们就可以将其戴在脑袋上享受VR画面啦。
Well, I felt that this activity was quite rewarding. You know, we were not only able to have fun with this latest technology but also understood how it actually functioned. This experience definitely gave me an insight into what the future would hold.
