decoration这个词在汉语中可以翻译为装修、装饰以及装潢等。所以，大家可以说整个屋子的设计风格，也可以说一些小的，比如家具等物件的摆设。如果没有搬家或者进行装修的经历，也可以拿着别人家或者电视上看到的情况来换位思考。不必过于纠结自己的想法，言之有理即可。
What is the decoration like in your home? 你们家的装潢是啥样的？
My home is overly decorated I have to say. My parents have different tastes in design. So, when you step into my house, you would be baffled by a mixture of oriental and occidental styles. For example, the bedframe is in European style and the wardrobe is very traditionally crafted.
我不得不说，我的家有点过度装修。我父母有着不同的设计爱好。所以，当你进屋的视乎，你会被中西结合的风格所吓倒。例如，床架子是欧式风格，而衣柜是在中国用传统风格打造的。
What kind of decoration do you prefer? 你倾向于什么样式的装饰？
I prefer modern decoration, no matter which country it comes from. I like technology being implemented to better serve my daily routine. For instance, this article is from Laokaoya website, a curtain doesn’t necessarily have to be sleek in design but should automatically adjust its light filtration so that I can enjoy the daylight at a comfortable level.
我倾向于现代化的装修，不管它来自哪个国家。我喜欢把科技融入进去来更好的服务于我的日常起居。例如，窗帘不必设计得很洋气，但是要能够自动调节光源的过滤程度，这样我能够以一个舒适的方式享受日光。
Do Chinese people like redecorating their homes? 中国人喜欢重新装饰他们的家吗？
Probably, yes. The people that I know around me enjoy having some redecoration. This often happens when they rent a new place or have been living in their old ones for several years. You know, by putting up some things on the wall or replacing the old furniture, they would feel their home life has been refreshed, which also brings a good mood to them.
或许是这样的吧。我身边所知道的人喜欢重新装饰他们的家。这种情况通常发生在当他们要租一个新地方或者在老地方住了很多年的时候。在墙上挂一些东西或者置换老家具，他们就会感觉整个家庭生活恢复了活力，这也给他们带来了好心情。
What is your favorite color when decorating your home? 在装修你们家的时候，你最喜欢的颜色是哪个？
Blue. I think it’s the only color that can make me feel comfortable both mentally and in my eyes. This is probably because I had watched many cartoons in my childhood and was quite keen on how the color of blue was used to depict nature elements such as the ocean and sky and so forth. So, whenever I see the blue on the wall or something else at my home, I would feel a sense of serenity.
蓝色。我认为这是唯一一个能够让我同时心理和眼睛感到舒服的颜色。我喜欢这个颜色的原因可能是因为我童年的时候看过很多卡通片，并且非常喜欢看到卡通片里面使用蓝色来描绘大海、天空等大自然元素。所以，我在家里面不管什么时候看到墙上或者其它地方有蓝色，我就会感到一种安宁。
