第31题答案：gene
对应原文： One in ten black bears is actually born with a white coat, which is the result of a special gene that surfaces in a few.
答案解析：听到black bear意识到答案即将到来，special与uncommon同义替换，由此确定答案为gene。
第32题答案：power/powers
对应原文：And according to the legends of these communities, its snowy fur brings with it a special power
答案解析：题干中的单词在录音中并没有原词出现。不过我们可以根据and，以及语气的起伏来判断内容的切换，在利用unusual与special的同义替换锁定power。
第33题答案：strangers
对应原文：Because of this, it has always been highly regarded by them—so much that they do not speak of seeing it to anyone else. It is their way of protecting it when strangers visit the area.
答案解析：听到protect意识到答案即将出现。虽然空前词from没有任何对应点，但strangers读的很重，而且文章来自老烤鸭雅思是这句话中唯一填进去之后语义合适的名词，由此确定答案。
第34题答案：erosion
对应原文：For example, the old-growth trees have extremely long roots that help prevent erosion of the soil along the banks of the many fish streams
答案解析：prevent与stop的同义替换很好识别，这道题的难点主要在于答案的拼写。而且录音中还有少许变音，erosion读的是/əˈrəʊʒn/，而非/ɪˈrəʊʒn/。
第35题答案：islands
对应原文：Today, the spirit bear lives off the coast of the province of British Columbia on a few islands
答案解析：这道题与上一题之间夹杂了很多废话，比较考验大家的耐心。不过我们可以根据上一行结尾处的forest vegetation来判断答案即将出现。a small number of与a few同义替换，由此确定答案为islands。
第36题答案：roads
对应原文：Over many years, logging companies have stripped the land by cutting down a large number of trees. In addition, they have built roads
答案解析：不少同学会将读的比较重的trees当成答案，但它对应的其实是题干上的deforestation，因此不能往空上写。built与construction同义替换，由此确定答案为roads。
第37题答案：fishing
对应原文：To make matters worse, the number of salmon in those streams is declining because there is no legal limit on fishing at the moment.
答案解析：这道题的难点在于题干上没有明确的提示词来告诉我们答案即将到来。不过to make matters worse这一起连接作用的短语有一定的提示功能，再加上limit和unrestricted的替换，确定答案为fishing也不算太难。
第38题答案：reproduction

第40题答案：expansion

答案解析：考察并列的知识点。在雅思听力中，题干上并列的两个单词A and B，在录音中经常被转换为A+解释+连接词+B的形式，大家可以稍加注意一下。
