奥尔堡大学的丹麦语全称为Aalborg Universitet，英文叫做Aalborg University，简称为AAU。它创立于1974年，是位于奥尔堡的一所公立大学。后来在1995年和2005年的时候又分别建立了埃斯比约校区和哥本哈根校区。目前，AAU一共大概拥有一万五千名学生。
