Why do some companies want to give the free gift to people? 为什么一些公司会给人们免费的礼物？
-Well, I assume the main reason why some companies are willing to send free gifts to people is that companies can get potential customers by having this seemingly long-term investment. For the customer side, they love to get some freebies like they always do and will gradually rely on their product. For example, nowadays, the Alipay, which is most popular online payment application in China has been giving out over 300,000,000 RMB as lucky-money to the mobile users. It is indeed a huge amount of money, but it’s definitely worth it.
-我就觉得这主要原因还在于这些公司能够通过这些看起来似乎是长线投资的方式来获得一些潜在的客户。对于消费者这边来说，他们本来就喜欢拿一些免费的东西，也会逐渐依赖于公司的产品。比如，现在中国最火的线上支付工具支付宝，他们已经想所有手机用户端发出了超过3亿元的红包。这的确是一笔不小的数额啊，但是绝对值了！
What kinds of free gifts they give? 他们给的免费礼物有哪些类型？
-They have so many kinds of free gifts to give. For instance, the most popular one is the red-pocket, what we called the lucky money. They usually give them out on some social media tools like Sina Weibo websites, tencent wechat or alipay, etc. Well, for most traditional companies, they usually send out some coupons or even their products, sometimes they were out of date though. These products are sometimes daily necessities like rice, oil or noodles, etc. Plus, they also send some plants as a wish of fortune.
-他们有太多免费礼物可以送了。比方说，目前最流行的就是送红包，也就是英语中的lucky money。他们通常会把红包发放到社交平台上面，比如新浪微博的网站啊，比方说腾讯的微信，或者支付宝扥等。而对于传统的企业来说，他们常常会送一些代金券，有时候甚至是他们的产品，虽然有些产品可能相对过时了一点。这些产品有时候也是一些日常必需品，比如说是米、油、面等等。另外，他们也送一些植物代表发财。
