A time when I helped someone was actually helping my grandpa use Wechat, which is the most popular instant communication application in China.
一次我帮助别人的经历其实是帮我的爷爷使用微信，这是中国最受欢迎的即时通讯应用。
My grandpa was living in the countryside of my hometown and barely traveled far because of his physical condition. What he usually did to communicate with me and my father was giving a call to us with his iPhone 6 that my father bought him. This article is from Laokaoya website. But, he never used any of the functions on the phone except for the dialing. So, I decided to help him by teaching him to use this application at his home.
我爷爷住在我家乡的一个小山村里面，因为身体原因，他几乎不出远门旅游。他通常和我们交流的方式就是用我爸买给他的iPhone 6打电话。但是，除了手机上的拨号面板，他其它功能从来没有用过。所以，我决定在他家教他使用这款应用。
Well, the reason why I helped him was that this could be immensely convenient for my grandpa to communicate with other people including my parents. You know, Wechat has so many functions such as Wechat moment where my grandpa can know what was happening in others’ lives. Also, video chatting on Wechat was way better than dialing a phone number.
我帮助他的原因是这款软件会极大地方面我爷爷和其他人交流，包括我父母。微信上有很多功能，比如朋友圈，在这个功能里面我爷爷就能知道别人的生活中发生了什么。另外，微信上面的视屏聊天功能远比手机拨号好多了。
I helped him register an Apple ID, and downloaded the latest version of Wechat. And I told him it’s quite easy to use. He could just use one finger to touch the APP icon and everything would be presented to him. It took me less than 10 minutes to get the hang of it, which really amazed me. He’s a good learner!
我帮助他注册了一个苹果账号，然后下载了最新的微信。我还告诉他用起来很简单。他只需用以更手指头点触一下应用的图标，所有的东西就会呈现给他了。我花了不到十分钟，他就能上手了，这真的让我很吃惊。他是个很棒的学习者！
I definitely felt a great sense of achievement by helping him. You know, finally, we could be able to have a more vivid chat with my grandpa!
