Well, that’s a really interesting question. You know, China has a super long history compared with most countries in the world. During those nearly five thousand years, generations changed, but the rules that influenced family members seemed to be fixed and strengthened. What has left me the deepest impression about one of those rules is that we shouldn’t directly call the full names of any family members who are older than us. Because, in our tradition, avoid calling one’s full names is a way of paying respect to the elder. 
嗯，这是个很很有意思的问题。你要知道，相比于世界上大多数国家，中国是个历史悠久的国家。在这个上下五千年中，代代更迭，但是不变的是影响着每一个家庭成员的规则，这些规则没有淡化反而一步一步加深。在这些家规中，给我留下最印象最深刻的一条就是，我没不能够直呼长辈们的姓名。因为，在我们的传统中，避免直呼长辈的姓名是一种尊老的表现。
